The August 2007 cover of Southern Living magazine features their 2007 Idea House, a custom built modular home. The four bedroom, four bathroom home is called the "Tucker Bayou: and is located in the Watersound community in Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast but was built in a factory a state away.
The Idea House was built in a state of the art, climate controlled factory that ensured precision building and quality craftsmanship. It was shipped in sections and assembled at it's final destination in Watersound. The home took one third of the time to build as it would have using traditional building methods.
The home's architect Carson Looney of Looney Ricks Kiss Archetics, Inc. stated, "It feels like a traditional site-built house. In fact, the integrity of the home is enhanced, and engineering-wise, it's better than a site-built home."
